Industrial Hygiene Services
Air sampling surveys are performed to determine breathing zone concentrations of varying chemical contaminants; noise, heat stress parameters, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and other physical agent stressors are measured—both qualitatively and quantitatively; and recommendations for suitable and feasible controls are offered.
Indoor Air Quality Studies
Surveys are performed in which concentrations of typical indoor air pollutants are determined and, when deemed appropriate, bulk samples are collected for particle identification analyses and phantom odor investigations are completed.
Fungal Growth Assessment
Direct-reading instruments are used to determine moisture content levels in varying building materials, followed by collection of surface and air samples to determine concentrations of both viable and nonviable fungi. Specific microbes are identified, health hazard assessments are completed, sources of water attributable to fungal growth are identified, and abatement strategies are developed.
Insurance Investigation
HygieneTech offers a full range of services devoted to the identification of exposure potentials of employees; and property damage assessment involving mold growth, char and ash deposits, and asbestos, inorganic lead, mercury, hydrocarbons and other hazardous materials.
Expert Testimony
HygieneTech experts consult and provide expert deposition and courtroom testimony on environmental health and safety matters involved in litigation. Cases have included issues related to asbestos, benzene, indoor air quality, oxygen deficiency and enrichment, fungal growth, lead and welding fume, methylene chloride, pesticides, and use of personal protective equipment.
