Client Description: Residential Property Owner

HygieneTech received one bulk sample of a building material collected from a residential home located in Beijing, China. The sample was submitted to a laboratory accredited by the National Institute of Standards and Technology through participation in the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP) and then analyzed for asbestos using polarized light microscopy (PLM).

The presence of 40 percent chrysotile asbestos was detected in the asbestos bulk sample submitted. The condition of the subject material in the client’s home was assessed and recommendations were made so that the material in question was handled properly to preclude significant exposures to the occupants.
