Client Description: Property Owner
HygieneTech has performed fungal growth assessment surveys in both residential and commercial buildings during which ambient air samples, wall and ceiling cavity air samples, and surface samples were collected for viable and nonviable fungal spore analyses. Direct-reading instruments were used to determine moisture content readings in building materials in order to assess growth potentials. Reports were prepared addressing the identity of specific fungal species found, exposure potentials and associated health risks for building occupants, the sources of water intrusion, and abatement needs.
Following the assessment work, fungal growth abatement plans were prepared, and HygieneTech conducted site surveillance surveys during all abatement work performed by an independent contractor. Clearance surveys were then performed to document acceptable indoor air quality within the individual apartments and to verify completion of abatement work. HygieneTech consulted on varying issues such as decontamination protocols involving personal effects in the apartments and the use of personal protective equipment by contractors, and acted as liaison between the client and regulatory agencies.
