Client Description: Aerospace Material Production Plant
HygieneTech has a continuing contract with a Los Angeles-based aerospace material production company to perform all industrial hygiene surveys and provide emergency response health and safety coordination during odor, spill, and/or other release episodes.
Industrial hygiene surveys were performed in various production areas to determine employee exposures to methylene chloride, paint solvent vapors, isocyanates, welding fume and other metals, buffing compounds, inorganic acids, alkalis, fiberglass and other man-made mineral fibers, dusts, carbon monoxide, and high levels of carbon dioxide and other inerting gases. Sound level and audio dosimetry surveys were also performed to determine employee exposures to noise.
Indoor air quality and odor investigation surveys have been performed in administrative offices in order to determine exposure potentials to common indoor air pollutants, including volatile organic compounds, asbestos, fiberglass, formaldehyde, dusts, carbon monoxide, ozone, and bioaerosols.
HygieneTech has prepared material safety data sheets for newly formulated compounds that the firm developed and currently provides to clients in the aerospace industry.
HygieneTech provided hazard communication, air-purifying respirator, and hearing conservation training.
